Prince Harry Will Not Be Watching The Final Season Of ‘The Crown’ Showing Diana’s Death

Being a public figure means people might use your life story to create entertainment and art. It cannot be easy to see your life presented through someone else’s eyes. This is especially true when the moment depicted is traumatic. Prince Harry knows this first-hand and is protecting his mental health by not watching the final season of Netflix’s hit series The Crown.

The final series explores his mother Princess Diana’s tragic death. It also shows her coming back as a ghost. Harry has no ill will toward the creatives behind the series, he just does not wish to participate, a source told Page Six.

“Due to the sensitive nature of content in upcoming episodes of The Crown Prince Harry has understandably decided not to view this season,” the source explained. “There are no ill feelings towards the show’s creators or Netflix.” Harry’s estranged brother Prince William feels the same and will also not be watching the series.

Princess Diana is played by Elizabeth Debicki in the final season. Prince Harry is played by Fflyn Edwards. The series shows the last conversation Harry and Diana had. It also shows Harry being woken up in the night to be told about his mother’s death.

Harry and wife Meghan Markle have a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix, the streaming service behind The Crown. This does not mean they were involved with the series. They were “not consulted by anyone affiliated with the series or Netflix.” The sources also dispelled rumors that Harry’s friends would watch the series for him and report back.
