Sami Sheen says her mom, Denise Richards, raised her and her sister, Lola Sheen, 20, to be accepting and open-minded. So, when 21-year-old Sami saw that her sister reposted transphobic content on social media, she was taken aback. According to a video shared via TikTok, Sami tried to confront her sister about the hateful content. However, Lola ended up blocking her, prompting Sami to vent about the her sister’s beliefs publicly.
On TikTok, Sami urged her sister to “just for five minutes, put the Bible down” and “pick up a Pride flag.” She accused Lola of being “transphobic” and “homophobic” and explained why she finds it so disappointing.
“It is so sad for me to see that my own sister is homophobic and transphobic now,” Sami said on TikTok. Initially, Sami didn’t plan on speaking about the topic publicly, but she noted that Lola’s reposts are visible to the public. The content that Lola has been reposting “disgusts” Sami, and she doesn’t see her sister’s religious beliefs as an excuse.
“I understand everyone has their own beliefs, but you don’t have to be transphobic or homophobic to follow your beliefs, OK?” Sami continued. “Someone’s sexuality and someone’s gender identity should not affect you.”
According to Sami, Lola reposted videos created by Christian podcaster Bryce Crawford. In one of the videos Lola reposted, the Christian podcaster suggested that being transgender is a sin. Then, in another video, Bryce went to a Pride festival — but not to support the LGBTQ+ community. Instead, he went to “mock them” and “pray over them,” Sami stated.

It seems that the issue Sami has with her sister goes beyond what Lola has posted on social media. In her video, she also described what happened when she tried to invite Lola to a Pride Month event. “I asked Lola if she would wanna come to a Pride party with me and she laughed in my face,” Sami alleged.
The model went on to explain why the issue is also personal. “I also asked her how she would feel about me if I ended up marrying a girl, and she got really weird,” Sami said. According to Sami, Lola told her that she would probably still go to the wedding, but at the same time, she believes women need men “to provide for them.”
“It’s just really sad that I’m related to someone like this when we’ve both been raised the same way and I am a part of the f—ing LGBTQ community, and I wish my sister was a f—ing ally,” Sami added. “It’s just honestly disgusting, close-minded behavior.”
