Returning home from a relaxing vacation is supposed to be a time of joy and relief, but for Michelle Lespron of Tucson, Arizona, it turned into a tale of sheer terror and unexpected encounters. Imagine stepping into your bathroom, only to find an uninvited guest slithering around your toilet bowl.
This spine-chilling scenario became a reality for Michelle, who discovered a snake in her toilet upon her return home. The ordeal that followed would test her nerves and require expert assistance to resolve.
In an interview with Inside Edition, Michelle described how she felt finding this unwanted guest: “I immediately screamed probably the most blood-curdling scream that’s ever come out of my body. I thought literally that was only the stuff of horror novels. I could not use that restroom; thank goodness I have another one.”
Faced with the terrifying prospect of dealing with a snake on her own, Michelle wisely decided to seek expert assistance. She reached out to Rattlesnake Solutions, which helped her evict her new unwanted roommate. The snake, though nonvenomous, proved to be quite tenacious. On the first attempt to retrieve it from the toilet, the feisty reptile bit one of the employees.
Bryan Hughes, the owner of Rattlesnake Solutions said: “It’s a coachwhip they bite. I mean, if you pick one up, they’re fast, intelligent snakes, they will bite.” Not content with a single escape attempt, the snake repeatedly eluded capture, hiding in the toilet despite the best efforts of the experts.
The company had to return to Michelle’s home three times to finally subdue the stubborn reptile and ensure it was safely removed. Just so everyone’s mind is at ease, Bryan said that it’s rare to see a snake in a toilet. He claims only 1 out of 1,500 calls is a snake in a toilet.

Michelle told Inside Edition that she is extra cautious now, and always turns the lights on in the bathroom before using the toilet, just in case she has another visitor. Just be sure to always check your surroundings, you never know when you might get an unexpected new roomie!
