Train Attendant Spots Baby Alone On Train, Tears Up When She Realizes What’s Happened

Emma Richard was 40 years old on the day when her career as a train attendant would change forever. All of her days on the job had flown by over the years, without any real hiccups or hardships. She grew accustomed to the quiet monotony.

On a gray and stormy June morning, all of the train passengers were already in their seats, the doors had closed. The train was picking up speed. Emma was the highest-ranking employee on the train crew next to the captain, and when she heard a baby start to cry, she knew she needed to act.

Emma didn’t remember seeing anyone board the train with a baby carrier or stroller, so she instantly wondered how she could have missed that. Emma made her way toward the last seats of the carriage and found a lone baby with no one around who seemed to be responsible for the child.

Emma picked up the baby girl, who was crying, and tried to comfort her. The child looked to be approximately 5 months old. At that moment, Emma was unsure how to proceed as they were aboard a moving train, but she knew she needed to do something.

As Emma was holding the baby and bringing her into the attendant’s den, she suddenly felt something within the blanket that was wrapped around the baby. It appeared to be a note from whoever had left the baby on the train.

The note stated that the parent of this baby had left her on the train because they felt as though she deserved a better life. Whoever wrote the note went on to say that they hoped whoever found her could give her baby girl a good home and a great upbringing.
