Tragedy struck in Las Vegas, Nevada, in August 2023. Andreas Probst, a retired police chief from California, was killed after being struck by a car. It is believed that it was intentional.

Police say the driver and passenger of the car that hit Probst were Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16. They were arrested on August 14. He called 911 for help after being hit. “This car just ran me over on my bicycle,” he stated. “He got behind me, I was watching him in my rearview mirror of my bicycle and I was thinking, 'Oh [expletive].' I got as far to the right, up against the curb, as I could, he was blowing on his horn, just kept on blowing. He did it on purpose. My knee hurts, I just hope the police make a connection because he could have killed me.”
