Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy is only 11 years old, but she has already performed as a dancer on her mom's tour — and has already dealt with a lot of haters online. In spite of her young age, some people were critical of Blue Ivy's dance moves during “My Power” and “Black Parade" songs on the Renaissance tour.
Beyoncé was upset when she found out that her daughter had read some of the negative comments about her dancing skills, according to The New York Times. Luckily, though, the comments didn't stop her from performing. Blue Ivy was only supposed to perform once during the tour, but she continued to perform and continued to get better at it over time.
Beyoncé initially wasn't open to the idea of her daughter performing with her. In fact, when Blue Ivy expressed interest in it, Beyoncé said no. Eventually Beyoncé agreed to it — and then was disappointed when her daughter saw people criticizing her online. According to The New York Times, seeing the comments pushed Blue Ivy to work on her dance moves.
For many fans, the fact that the comments inspired Blue Ivy to work harder does not justify the way some people criticized an 11-year-old online.
"Blue ivy saw all yall nasty comments and although she trained harder she shouldve never had to see a bunch if random adults making fun of her online just for dancing with her mom," one person wrote on X.
After all, she's just a kid dancing with her mom.
Another person chimed in on X: "Remembered blue ivy getting bashed for nepotism when she performed in rwt but like. do y’all think she’s doing it for the 'career' (she’s 11 btw) bc idk it’s possible she just enjoys dancing w her mom."

"Reading about Blue Ivy’s perseverance and determination through the Renaissance World Tour didn’t make me proud," another X user wrote. "It made me sad. She’s a kid. She shouldn’t have had to do any of those things.. read any of those things."
Another added that what people said about Blue Ivy's dancing was not "constructive criticism." "Yall are actually..terrible people," the user tweeted, referring to the people who criticized Blue Ivy's dance moves.
Others admired Blue Ivy's ability to perform confidently at such a young age, especially after seeing the negative comments.
One X user praised Blue Ivy, writing: "My favourite thing about Beyoncé’s entire tour was seeing the clips of how Blue Ivy improved she was visibly shy the first time and by the end? My girl was oozing confidence and dancing like it was her tour loved it."
