Jennifer Lopez took a huge leap of faith last year. She decided to go all-in with sweetheart Ben Affleck, and they blended both of their big families and busy lives together.
Now she’s opening up about it, and says all in all, the past year has been “phenomenal.”
Jennifer appeared on Today on Monday to promote her new movie Shotgun Wedding. The actress, 53, discussed the “emotional transition” of merging her life with Ben’s while interviewing alongside her movie costar Josh Duhamel.
"We moved in together, the kids moved in together, so it's been like a really kind of emotional transition," she told Today.
"But at the same time … all your dreams coming true, it's just been a phenomenal year."
The past year has also been a busy one for Jennifer. On top of filming her multiple projects, she and Ben announced their engagement in April 2022 and then married in Las Vegas in July 2022.
"Best year, I think, since my kids were born," she added.
Jennifer shares 14-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Ben has three kids of his own — Violet, 17; Seraphina, 13; and Samuel, 10 — with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
In their joint interview promoting the movie, Josh, 50, joked with Jennifer, telling her he has "probably loved [Ben] longer than you have."
"I bet you have," Lopez responded. "He's dreamy. I get it."
"He's a dreamboat, he's talented,” Josh continued. “But I don't want to get into my relationship with Ben right now," he joked.
Jennifer shared an Instagram reel last month full of sweet clips from the past year to commemorate the end of 2022.
“2022 was one of the best years yet,” the caption began, followed many exclamation points and a fireworks emoji.
"I cannot wait for all that's to come next year…” she continued.
The Marry Me star recently reflected on what the holidays were like for her, after marrying Ben and coordinating with exes to bring the kids together to celebrate.
“We have blended families, doubled the people, doubled the fun, doubled the love, doubled the presents and tripled the chaos,” she wrote in Christmas edition of her newsletter On the JLo.
