On May 1, 2023 Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce from husband Kevin Costner. The move came as a shock to the Yellowstone actor. The couple were married in 2004 and share three children: Cayden Wyatt, 15, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13.
Christine and Kevin’s divorce has been a bumpy ride. The latest development is that a judge ordered Kevin to continue his temporary monthly child support payments of $129,755 on July 12. The judge also denied Kevin’s lawyer’s request to settle child support before the trial regarding the couple’s prenuptial agreement on November 4.
It does not appear that this temporary order will be that temporary. Kevin’s team also requested 10 days to look over 9,000 pages of forensic accounting documents before the separate trials begin for the child support case and prenup case. The judge replied that a “evidentiary hearing is unlikely in the foreseeable future.”
For now Kevin has to pay the ordered amount with the potential for more in the future. Any ruling will be retroactive to July 1.
For the moment, Kevin might have gotten off easy. Christine previously requested a monthly payment of $248,000 for child support. Kevin’s team thought this was outrageous, calling it "inflated."

Christine previously refused to move out of the family home until a child support agreement was in place, even though she was required to by the prenuptial agreement. A July 5 ruling ordered her to move out by July 31.
The couple is due back in court on August 2 to discuss the validity of the prenup. More drama is sure to occur in the meantime.
