Abandoned amusement parks are some of the coolest (and scariest) places to visit.
I love looking at pictures of theme parks that used to be bustling with visitors but have now been left untouched for years. There is something really fascinating about them, and also something really eerie.
So when I saw this abandoned dinosaur theme park from the 1960s, I knew I wanted to take a closer look.
The Prehistoric Forest was once a thriving amusement park in Onsted, MI. But now, all of its dinosaur inhabitants have fallen into disarray, and the place is a complete ghost town.
These photos, as well as the story behind Prehistoric Forest, are truly amazing and terrifying. Let's just say I wouldn't want to stumble upon this dinosaur park in the middle of the night.

The park is scary by day, but even scarier in the dark. Luckily, fences and motion detectors have been installed to keep away trespassers.

As recently as 2010, Prehistoric Forest was up for sale. But with rumors of hauntings and a forest full of dilapidated dinos, the abandoned park will likely remain a ghost town for a long time to come.
