Pitu Blazquez is not only a talented Argentinian television star, but he also teaches a free acrobatic class for people with disabilities.
Blazquez’s goal is to spread awareness and to give an experience to people that truly do deserve it. Blazquez's mission is like that of e-NABLE's organization that works in providing free access technology for the disabled.
Roughly 2.9 million people are living with disabilities in Argentina, while one out of 10 of them are employed, and most don’t have any medical insurance.
During this beautiful, heartfelt clip, one disabled woman claims that nothing is built with disabled people in mind. Horrible to acknowledge, maybe, but in a way, very true.
Blazquez’s class is a small step in giving disabled people a chance to connect to themselves and feel a pleasure that is the most gratifying — in-air freedom.
He also believes that by having integrated classes, where other people that normally partake in his classes get to work with people that aren’t able to walk or even talk, this can seemingly bring awareness to the forefront.
You can tell that this actor isn’t acting when he’s talking about all the help he’s been doing for the disabled community. Blazquez states, “What I see in them is a fight, a courage that’s an example for everyone. And it’s very rewarding.”
