Toddler Goes Missing From Great-Grandparents’ Home, Then Stranger Finds Her In A Field

Can you imagine what it must feel like to have your 2-year-old baby go missing for two days?

Baby Rainn Peterson went missing from her great-grandparents' home in Ohio. After she wandered off, a search team was placed into effect.

Think of how long two days is for a baby. Without anyone else around, no food, no games, and no water to drink. Poor baby Rainn must have been wondering where her mommy and daddy were the entire time. And nighttime? I can't imagine the terror that a 2-year-old must feel when she has to spend a night out in the wilderness all by herself.

All hands were on deck, though. Teams of volunteers, as well as the police and rescue workers were all out there searching for this poor little soul.

Then 911 dispatch got a call.

The dispatcher answered as normal, but what came through on the other line gave her absolute goosebumps.

Victor Sutton, a volunteer who'd given his time to look for this poor young child, had found Rainn Peterson.

You can hear the little one crying on over the phone call. One of the first police deputies on the scene broke all the rules and shouted on the radio, making sure everyone who could hear knew that she was going to be OK.

Listening to the call and knowing that this little baby is doing well is definitely enough to give you goosebumps. Thank goodness that Sutton ended up being at the right place at the exact right time. Who knows what could have happened otherwise.
