These are all lines that we have heard growing up from our parents time and time again. When we were young they loved to tell us what to do, tell us about all the struggles they faced when they were our age, and tell us how important it was for us to understand sacrifice.
And then all that goes out the window the moment they become grandparents. As legendary comedian Bill Cosby points out in his now famous Godparents comedy bit with the line "That's not the same mother that I grew up with, these are old people who are trying to get into heaven now."
