The most important thing to remember while out on a fishing trip: Patience is the key. Those sneaky critters like to take their time finding their way to your hook, but it's usually worth the wait. Of course, that can be even more difficult to see through when it comes to the art of ice fishing in the super chilly climates up north. Not only are you forced to bide your time and fight off boredom, but to do so while also trying to keep yourself from turning into a human icicle!
The cold weather doesn't seem to bother these adventurous Canadian fisherman, though. After waiting around for even one single bite and having no luck, they decide to send a couple of their buddies out to investigate if there's a better spot to drill their hole. Their method? Plunging right into the frosty waters and swimming around to take a look! I was already shivering just watching the ones sitting there and they're bundled up in warm coats! When the man pops up from that hole in the ice, I seriously felt a chill run down my whole body.
How does he not turn into an ice cube after being under all that frigid water? However he manages it, the mission was all for nothing since he didn't have any better luck finding any fish than his friends on land. He claims to have swam all the way out to a distant point without seeing a single fin. He explains this while standing around in the cold without immediately reaching for a blanket!
