Man’s Driveway Cracks Open, Then He Sees A Ladder Leading To An Underground WWII Shelter

You never really know what you'll find in your very own house.

Chances are, the home that you live in has been around for a lot longer than you have. That means there have been a good amount of years for someone to stick something there and forget all about it.

And then when you find it, usually, it's your lucky day.

People have been known to find some pretty amazing things in the foundation of their homes. Whether it's money or some vintage items, it's always interesting to think about who put it there and why.

Were they hiding it from someone specific? Did they completely forget that they put it there, or did they leave it in the hopes that it would be found? Maybe something happened to them before they could get back to it. There are endless possibilities.

When U.K. resident Simon Marks felt his front tire catch on something as he pulled out of his driveway, he had no idea he was about to unveil an incredible piece of history.

Hidden under his driveway was a completely intact World War II air raid shelter.

Marks sent a camera down before checking it out himself, but once he realized what it was, he began work on restoring it. Such an interesting find!
