Just because our Marines are some of the bravest people out there, it doesn't mean that they don't also like to have a bit of fun every now and again.
When the Marine Expeditionary Force Band was about to start a parade one day, they ran into another military band in the parking lot.
Instead of just greeting them and moving along their merry way, these Marines had another Idea.
The drummers from the band decided to challenge the Republic of Korea's drummers to do battle, but not in the military sense…
A drum battle was about to go down right there in the parking lot.
First up is the Republic of Korea. They put on a very great show that gets the U.S. a bit nervous. But, it wasn't anything that they didn't think they could beat with a bit of creativity. When it's their turn to pull out some impressive beats, they have a plan in place. You have to watch these young men as they step closer and closer to their opponent in this friendly competition. Then, when they're right in their faces? Wow!
After they're through, the U.S. officer steps into the circle to gauge the audience and see who won this noble battle. It's so nice to see a Marine have a sense of humor and playfulness.
