Remember Comedian Marty Ingels With This Clip Of ”I’m Dickens, He’s Fenster”

After Yogi Berra and Wes Craven's recent deaths, we're sad to say that we've lost another great man.

Comedian, actor, and talent agent Marty Ingels passed away on October 21 at the age of 79 in his Los Angeles home after complications from a stroke.

He is survived by his wife of nearly forty years, Shirley Jones, who is best known for her role on the 1970's sitcom, "The Partridge Family."

Marty also had a very active career in television. He emerged in the 1960s, appearing on shows like “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” ”The Phyllis Diller Show” and “Bewitched.”

But he's probably best known for his comedic role in the ABC comedy, "I'm Dickens, He's Fenster." He co-starred with John Astin from 1962 to 1963. Both actors played blue-collar carpenters, and the short-lived series followed the construction crew they were a part of.

In this clip of the "Table Tennis, Anyone" episode of the show, the construction crew takes part in a ping pong tournament. They return looking increasingly battered after every loss, which is revealed in multiple newspaper headlines.

But it's after their fifteenth loss that the hilarity starts! The men return to their changing room with their uniforms torn and an angry mob outside the door.

But the funniest part? When it's revealed who they lost to!

Marty Ingels will be sorely missed. If this made you laugh, please SHARE!
