A mom was meant to document a magical moment, but actually recorded herself instead. A video posted on TikTok shows a couple at Saint Peter's Square in Vatican City. Just when the man in the video is about to get down on one knee and propose to his girlfriend, the video cuts to his mom's face instead.
The video is captioned with "pov: your bf gives his mom the phone to record the proposal." In the comments, many TikTok users said they would be mad at the mom for ruining the moment, but several others felt sorry for her.
"I know she’s innocent, but this just made me so mad lol ," one TikTok user wrote.
Another commented: "She had one job ."
Others also pointed out that she just needed to hold the phone, which seems simple enough.

Many others expressed their sympathy because they could tell that the mom felt bad for her mistake.

Others also chimed in saying that the look on the mom's face "broke their hearts" and made them feel sorry for her.

Luckily, the mom didn't actually ruin the video because another video was also recorded. In response to a comment that said "please please please tell me there was someone else taking another video omg," the woman who shared the video posted another one that captured the moment. "Luckily his dad was recording the whole thing," she wrote.
