Starbucks Barista Was Fired For Exposing Customer’s Intricate 13-Ingredient Order In Tweet

Starbucks orders are as unique as fingerprints these days. Everyone knows just the potion needed to mix up their favorite beverage.

When a man named Edward walked into his Starbucks in Los Angeles, he never expected his order would go viral — making him a controversial and legendary patron.

Edward ordered one single drink that cost $14. He bought it using 150 of his 1,500 customer reward points.

His customized beverage

His customized beverage, dubbed the Venti Caramel Crunch Frappe, was to be made with 13 ingredients, including five bananas, several pumps of caramel syrup and honey, and extra whipped cream.

Edward's befuddled barista snapped a photo of the finished drink and playfully posted it to Twitter — where it quickly went viral and caused quite the stir.

Many commenters were outraged

Many commenters were outraged over Edward's order, worried it would only encourage more people to ask for more complex drinks that can cause stress for the already harried baristas.

However, Edward has spoken out — and he sees nothing wrong with the order.

What he didn't know was that the employee who posted his 13-ingredient coffee would lose his job over it.

Barista Josie Morales was fired for violating the company's social media policy. While it's a bummer, he doesn't regret it, "because I feel like it brought some light upon how crazy orders can be."
