Kelley Lewis never imagined that, at just 29 years old, she would be divorced with three kids. However, sometimes life throws a curveball at you, and you end up exactly where you thought you wouldn't be.
But, sometimes, those curveballs can send you and your loved ones on the greatest adventures. After Lewis became a single mom, she took the time to evaluate her life. She thought about what she really wanted for her family, and how she should go about achieving those goals.
She's always wanted a weekend getaway in the depths of nature where she and her children could enjoy each other's company and the great outdoors. So instead of longing for something spectacular, she decided to make it happen all on her own.
She bought a piece of land and started from scratch. With the help of her family, friends, and even her children, she got to work constructing an off-the-grid tiny home that her family could enjoy on the weekends.
With not much more than a pencil, a ruler, and a good eraser, Kelley Lewis drew up the blueprints and set to work. Her drive and zeal for making a new life for herself is really inspiring. She's so strong to build this new world for her and her children! Would you ever do something like this?
