Angus Cloud's cause of death has been determined. The Euphoria actor died on July 31 from an accidental overdose. The Alameda County Coroner’s Office said he died from "acute intoxication due to combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines," Variety reported. Benzodiazepines are a class of prescription drugs used for anxiety, other mental health conditions, and seizures, according to Cleveland Clinic. Angus was 25 years old when he died.
His dad died the week before, leading some people to speculate that Angus' death could've been intentional. However, his mom posted on Facebook shortly after his death, saying that the death was not intentional even though Angus "intensely struggled with this loss." "Although my son was in deep grief about his father's untimely death from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyful one. He was reorganizing his room and placing items around the house with intent to stay a while in the home he loved," she wrote in her post.
She also noted that they hugged each other goodnight and said they loved each other, with Angus saying that he would see her later. "I don't know if or what he may have put in his body after that. I only know that he put his head on the desk where he was working on art project's, fell asleep and didn't wake up," she wrote in the post.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today," his family said in a statement at the time of his death. "As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
