Shad Moss Talks Hackers And ‘CSI: Cyber’ With Larry King

Playing Brody Nelson on CSI: Cyber has exposed Shad Moss to more than just a bigger fan base. The actor, formerly known as Bow Wow, has learned just how dangerous technology can be.

The fourth installment of CSI shows the ins and outs of the FBI’s cyber crime fighters. It’s helped teach Moss and the rest of the cast, including Academy Award–winning actress Patricia Arquette and former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek, how to be more careful in the way they handle their gadgets. And, in an age where even huge corporations like Sony are getting hacked, it certainly doesn't hurt to take some (or a lot) of precautions.

“I keep my phone face down. I never let the camera look at me even if I’m not on it,” Moss said in the interview with Larry King below. “These criminals are so smart nowadays. Anything with Wi-Fi, they can tap into… I’m definitely approaching a lot of things with caution.”

He also offered a tip he’s picked up from the CBS show: Stay off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth unless you are using them!

Like Moss, Arquette, who plays Avery Ryan on the show, also offered some advice to keep people protected from those vicious hackers.

“You should cover your cameras, you should have dual-verification emails, you should only do your banking on one device,” she told Newsweek. “It depends how crazy you want to go with everything.”
