Shopping around the holidays can be one of the most stressful things ever… especially if you wait until the very last minute. The lines are long, the aisles are crowded, and you might even have to race to get the very last red race car toy for your nephew before the guy across the lane does.
But for these shoppers in a Target in Los Angeles, their stressful day of shopping turned into a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Ellen DeGeneres, beloved daytime talkshow host and generally amazing human, showed up at one of the registers. When she started talking over the speakers, customers were shocked, but once they figured out why she was there? They sprung into action!
Naturally, Ellen wanted to give away free stuff to the unsuspecting shoppers. However, she wanted to have a little bit of fun with them first.
What started as a normal day of holiday shopping quickly turned into survival of the fittest… in the most friendly way possible! Only those with the keenest knowledge of the Target layout and swiftest stride would walk away champions on this day. The winners are all so sweet, and so shocked that Ellen is there at the Target checkout counter to award them with their gift!
All the while, while customers scramble to follow Ellen's directions, she's her typical self, cracking jokes and making everyone smile even if they don't want to participate in all of the fast-paced hoopla.
