Study Says Grandparents Who Babysit Their Grandkids Might Actually Live Longer

Being a parent can be challenging. Kids — as rewarding as they may be — are exhausting.

Asking for help is hard, though, and many parents feel embarrassed to admit they could use a break every once in a while.

Often, the best solution is to ask your own parents for assistance. After all, who knows more about the difficulties of parenting than your own folks? Plus, grandparents love to spend time with their grandkids, and they can't wait to spoil them with sweets and treats.

If you've ever felt as though asking your parents to babysit your kids is burdensome, think again. A study conducted in Germany found that grandparents who babysit actually live longer than those who don't.

So, parents: plan a date night and don't feel bad when you drop your little ones off at grandma and grandpa's house.

And grandparents: be grateful that spending time that your grandkids has huge benefits on your health and longevity!

Parents love saying things like, "You kids are giving me gray hair," and "Taking care of you little ones is making me age too quickly."

But when it comes to folks over the age of retirement, having kids around can actually help keep them feeling young!
