77-Year-Old Grandma Travels Across The World As Part Of Her New Cooking Career

When you think of your grandmother, you probably picture her in the kitchen, either cooking dinner or planning the next meal she's going to make!

Elisa Costantini has been passionate about cooking since she lived in Italy with her family as a little girl. But when her husband of 56 years passed away suddenly in 2013, Costantini lost her drive. She had stopped cooking. She told her son Frank that she was ready to go. She wanted to be like this couple who passed away hours apart after 58 years of marriage.

Heartbroken to see his mother so lost, Frank knew he needed to do something to help her. That is where her cooking came in! He noticed one of her old scribbles, which was a recipe for one of her delicious meals.

With her recipes, he turned to the crowd-funding website Kickstarter to try and get her recipes published into a book. In just a couple of days, they had a few thousand dollars.

After just 30 days, he was able to raise $27,000! With the help of their family friends, they were able to get the book finished, and it has sold almost 7,000 copies.

With a renewed look on life, Costantini is now teaching the world how to cook her recipes! She has a trip to Tuscany planned, where she will show others how to make her Italian dishes.

You can see how happy Costantini is in the video below! Her son Frank is thrilled that he was able to turn his mother's life back around after his father passed away. What a wonderful son!
