Kids Burn Down Neighbor’s House After Setting Off Fireworks: ‘I Lost Everything’

Two kids in Pasadena, California, recently set off illegal fireworks in the bushes — and it sparked a fire that ended up destroying a neighboring home.

In the video clip, a panicked neighbor films smoke billowing out of the house across the street, shocked by the surreal and heartbreaking sight.

She's the same neighbor who told the firefighters that Jeffrey, the homeowner, was possibly trapped inside.

"Please make sure Jeffrey is out," she said. "He sleeps in the back. Oh my God!"

Jeffrey wasn't home at the time — but he arrived shortly after to find the house that was in his family for 67 years burning down before his eyes.

He lost everything in the fire that day, including the priceless memories left there by his own grandparents.

"In a heartbeat I'm homeless," Jeffrey told the news reporter. "My fiancee is homeless. My cousin lost everything."
