For many parents, watching their children graduate from high school is a big deal. It's a milestone that, in their day, not many reached. These kids aren't necessarily aware of this, but enjoy their big moment onstage nevertheless.
Qunesha Stewart is the mother to two young children, ages 9 and 2. She's looking forward to that moment when she can see her children walk across the school stage to receive their diploma, though that may be years down the line. She, herself, never graduated.
That is, not until recently.
When she was in school, she didn't pass the test that allowed her to graduate. But life went on. She grew older and started a family. She didn't think back on earning her GED until recently, and she got to work.
The mother wanted to set a good example for her children: nothing is impossible, at any age. And getting an education is important!
Now, she's proud to say that she's a high school graduate.
But that's not all! The mother is continuing her studies at Southern University and plans to enter the medical field.
