Young Girl With Rare Vascular Condition Shares Awesome Beauty Tips

We all like to look our best when we leave our homes for the day. I personally won't step foot outside without at least a little mascara and filling in my eyebrows! Otherwise, they're pretty much invisible. Of course, makeup isn't a necessity to feel beautiful in your own skin, but it's definitely fun to play around with and create awesome new looks! There are so many awesome methods and tricks to try out.

At just 11 years old, this sweet girl isn't letting her rare condition stop her from sharing her love for experimenting with different products. Nikki was diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation, or AVM for short, when she was 6 after she and her parents noticed veins appearing on her face. Nikki was born with the vascular anomaly causing her to not form capillaries in the places they ordinarily need to be. It also causes her to experience life-threatening nose-bleeds. She has been in and out of hospitals over 300 times with over 20 surgical procedures.

But you would never guess that she's endured so much pain and hardship while watching her bright, sunny personality as she provides tips for preparing for prom. Nikki is all smiles as she pops on concealer, eyeshadow, and lipstick in the delightful video below. It's easy to forget there's anything different about her at all as she applies the products and explains why she prefers them over others. She even dons a pretty dress at the end to make the look complete. It's not only great makeup advice, but inspiring to see such positivity in spite of all she deals with on a daily basis.
