Throughout her lengthy career, Pink has never been one to bite her tongue. So, naturally, when people criticized her for her weight after a charity event in April, she swiftly fired back.
Like fellow singer Kelly Clarkson, who had a similar response to the ongoing berating of her weight, Pink made it clear that she’s unbothered by negativity.
While walking the red carpet at the BMI Pop Awards on Tuesday, the multiplatinum singer reaffirmed her anti-bullying stance.
"I don't take well to bullying. I never have. I'm not a person that will be bullied,” Pink told Entertainment Tonight. “I'm not a person that will stand by watching other people bullied.”
Pink, who that night received the BMI President’s Award commemorating her songwriting and impact on pop culture, more or less told bullies to stop flattering themselves.
"They think their opinion matters and holds weight and I don't know why they're giving themselves so much credit,” she said. "So I thought it was important for me to remind them that I don't care.”
As a mother to daughter Willow, 3, and wife of former pro-biker Carey Hart, Pink said her life is “full.”
“I like food a lot and I really like to cook. I like to live,” she said. “I find joy in that and were doing alright in the Hart household."
