Cemetery Hidden In The Heart Of Hollywood Has A Surprising Number Of Celebrity Graves

I have always been obsessed with Hollywood and celebrities. Even if it's someone who I don't particularly care for all that much, I probably still know a lot about their lives just from skimming gossip magazines and endlessly reading trivia. My favorites, though, are definitely the classic icons from yesteryear. Glamorous ladies like Audrey Hepburn have always inspired me with their refined and timeless composure. And, of course, the fellas were pretty easy on the eyes, too!

Don't get me wrong, I definitely have plenty of affection for today's stars, too, but those old black-and-white flicks and vintage tunes just speak to my heart a little bit more. I have spent years dreaming of a visit to Hollywood where I can check out all the old haunts like Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Brown Derby restaurant. While I save up for my plane ticket, I stumbled upon this lesser-known (but no less amazing) landmark.

Hidden amongst all the skyscrapers, the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery doesn't look all that different from any other cemetery you might have seen in your life. However, this humble park is where you'll find several of your favorite celebrities' final resting place. At first I thought it would only be one or two interesting names, but the list really goes on and on. The famous folks range from Don Knotts to Marilyn Monroe as well as the unmarked graves of musicians Roy Orbison and Frank Zappa. Judging by some of the inscriptions on some headstones, a keen sense of humor never dies.
