Adorable, One-Of-A-Kind Jewelry Captures Childhood Creativity Forever

If you have kids, you've probably cherished all of their creative expressions. After all, the drawings, dances, and songs are evidence of their blooming individuality and creativity.

So it's natural that parents would want to capture those memories, just like they do with everything else!

And there are a lot of ways to do that. The classic is to pin up their creations on the fridge, of course. Other parents team up with their kids to create art and memories at the same time.

But some people want something not only permanent, but that they can show off. And that's where an artist duo from Turkey comes in.

Yasemin Erdin Tavukçu and Özgür Karavit, who operate under the company name TasarimTakarim, create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry using kids' drawings, turning them from images on paper into wearable pieces of art in silver.

They're a beautiful way to show pride in your kids and what thy can do, and they're also surprisingly chic-looking!

Take a look at some of the jewelry the pair has created using real drawings by kids, which are submitted by the parents with their order. That way, they get a keepsake that's just as unique as their children!

Yasemin, who works with children in art and creativity, wanted a to preserve the artwork of her daughter, Serin.

So she teamed up with Özgür, a sculptor and goldsmith, who was already developing the technique to translate her son's drawings into metal jewelry.

Each of the pendants you see here is based on the drawing of a child, and Yasemin and Özgür carefully create a replica of the drawing in silver.

Some of the jewelry is designed by Yasemin's daughter, Serin, and Özgür's son, Kerem, but parents can send in images of their kids' masterpieces to have a custom piece created.

The drawings work surprisingly well in silver, and make for some striking conversation pieces.

The artist duo wants not only to provide parents with memories they can cherish forever, but also to show kids that their creations, even at a young age, are precious and deserving of recognition.

And naturally, the kids create a neverending collection of images from their active imaginations.

Yasemin believes that supporting children's creativity is instrumental in helping them become creative, productive people late in life, and sees valuing their earliest artwork right away as the best way to keep them creating.

And thanks to Özgür's talent with metalworking, she can turn pretty much any drawing into a shining silver pendant.

And the kids' drawings never cease to be surprisingly sophisticated, especially when turned from crayon and marker to silver.

And when worn, they have a simple, unassuming elegance that makes them really special.

And because the drawings are often in unique, irregular shapes, they also provide a great challenge for Özgür to create a necklace that's faithful to the design while being worn comfortably and attractively.
