Teenage Girl Gets An Invite To The White House After Brother Bullies Her

Ayla Ludlow, a 13-year-old Massachusetts girl, is no pushover. In fact, she’s a true force for girl power!

And — much like this girl who fought against sexism with a powerful yearbook photo — she’s not afraid to fight for her cause.

Case in point: when Ayla’s little brother made some snarky remarks about her favorite sport, she decided to take the issue to our nation’s highest authority: President Obama.

It all started when she was watching the Women’s World Cup soccer game on TV. Ayla, a soccer player, was thrilled to see the U.S. team win, but disappointed by her younger brother’s remarks afterward.

Much like this little boy who changed his community with a few well-placed words, she decided to convey her feelings in writing. Ayla wrote an eloquent letter and mailed it to the White House.

In it, she describes the scene, saying, “My brother comes into the room and says, 'Boys are so much better at soccer than girls.' Whoever is reading this should know that I hate the fact that boys' sports get so much more attention than girls'. I want to do something about that.”

As it turns out, her letter made it straight to the president himself. Check out the video below to see his response!
