10-Year-Old Boy Helps Save His Mom’s Life When She Has A Seizure

Accidents happen every day, and they can be big or small. You can try your hardest to avoid them, but they often happen when you least expect it, and when you're the least prepared.

Coleen Villarreal certainly didn't expect to be in an accident inside her home, with her children in the next room. After all, what could possibly happen there?

But when she fell inside her garage, she hit her head. This caused a seizure, and with no one but her children at home, no one could help her. Luckily, her 10-year-old son, Jaxson, was very astute and knew what to do in an emergency.

Jaxson didn't just call 911, but stayed on the phone with the dispatcher, listening to instructions and responding in a calm and collected manner. Jaxson told the dispatcher that his mom wouldn't stop "banging" her head, and that she wasn't talking — but her eyes were open and she was breathing. Even with screaming, frightened siblings close by, he was able to communicate with authorities, even as his mother suffered a life-threatening seizure.

Soon enough, firefighters arrived and were able to save Coleen. The 10-year-old followed every instruction, and even left the door unlocked so they could enter the home!
