There is a light at the end of the tunnel for Todd and Julie Chrisley and it just got a little bit brighter. Both of the former Chrisley Knows Best stars had their prison sentences reduced. In June 2022 Todd and Julie were convicted of multiple fraud charges. In November, Todd was sentenced to 12 years while Julie received a sentence of seven years.
The couple has maintained their innocence throughout their legal troubles. They are actively working to appeal. They reported to separate prisons on January 17, 2023.
Todd is serving his time at the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida. His new release date is January 22, 2033. This is almost two years earlier than originally expected.
Julie is serving her time at the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky. Her new release date is on October 19, 2028. This is a 14-month reduction.

Jay Surgent, the couple’s lawyer who specializes in white collar criminal defense, explained to USA Today why the couple’s sentences have been reduced. They are getting time off for good behavior, especially since their crimes were nonviolent. The reality couple have reportedly been “model inmates.”
Jay filed new appeal documents in July 2023. He explained the process and possible next steps to People. "The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals can reverse the District Court, or they could remand the case back for hearings that should have been held that were not held during the course of this trial," he stated. "We argued very vigorously that their constitutional rights have been violated, and that they basically were not given a fair hearing. It's all in black and white, actually."
The couple’s son, Chase, recently spoke about prison conditions with Extra. "They're hanging in there. It's a terrible situation," he explained. "The conditions are awful and if you read all these headlines they say the polar opposite, but it is not the truth and we're going to be spreading a lot of awareness to that as well."
