When this video begins, we see a woman walking through the grass. She knows something is out there in the distance, and when she finally sees it, she calls to it.
This "it" is Laksmipriya, a Mayapur elephant who is about to be reunited with his former caretaker. As the elephant approaches her, the wailing sounds of surprise and joy she makes were enough to intimidate and surprise me – yet these are incredibly happy sounds! These two share an unbelievable reunion that left me speechless. It's clear that they have a very strong bond, and seeing each other for the first time in a long time is emotional for them both! Almost enough to make me emotional just watching.
