Aubrey Saget, Bob Saget’s Daughter, Finds Special A Way To Honor Her Dad At Her Wedding

Grief is not a linear process. Life moves forward, and grief creeps in, especially at the first big holidays and events without our loved ones. Such was the case at the wedding of Bob Saget’s daughter Aubrey.

Fortunately, Aubrey seemed to plan ahead for this. She made sure her father was honored even though he could not be there physically. In honor of Bob, her guests received shots of tequila and cigars, which were a couple of his favorite things.

Aubrey married partner Andy Kabel in Tulum, Mexico, the weekend of November 12, 2022. Bob died just 10 months before this from blunt force trauma to his head. Many of the wedding guests were also still mourning Bob while showing up to support Aubrey.

Some of the wedding guests included Aubrey’s sister Lara and stepmother Kelly Rizzo. Bob had three daughters from his first marriage to high school sweetheart Sherri Kramer. The couple married in 1982 and divorced in 1997. Bob married Kelly in 2018. The couple were married at the time of his death.

Many people appreciated Aubrey’s party favors honoring her father. Kelly posted a picture of her cigar on her Instagram stories. She captioned it, “Saluting Bob with his favorite things… A good cigar.”

Friends of the family Jennifer Finnigan and Jonathan Silverman also posted on Instagram about the experience. They were both delighted to celebrate Aubrey and honor Bob. Jennifer wrote, “Quick trip to #Tulum with my honey @jonnysilverman to celebrate our dear friend’s wedding.”

“We’ve spent every day reminiscing, laughing, and crying about Bob….whom we all lost 10 months ago. Being surrounded by the people he loved most in the world has been so healing and bonding. Never was a man so collectively adored, and so desperately missed. He’s been everywhere this weekend….appearing in rainbows and signs and symbols. We feel ya Bob. We know you’re here. We miss you and love you,” she went on to say.

The wedding was a beautiful tropical affair. The bride wore an off-the-shoulder white gown. The groom wore a tan suit. They were married under a canopy of palm fronds, and later guests danced barefoot on the sand.

Aubrey’s wedding was not the first that Bob was honored at. When his longtime Full House costar Jodi Sweetin got married earlier this year, John Stamos honored Bob through his fashion choices. He wore a black button-down shirt of Bob’s that had been gifted to him by Kelly.

"It was this black button up that Bob would always wear. Bob always had a black button up on. So, [he] was there in his weird little way," John said.

It is touching to see Bob remembered in all these small yet meaningful ways. It shows the beautiful legacy he built.
