Bode Miller Gets Emotional On ‘Special Forces’ Reading Death Letter To Late Daughter

At the beginning of this year, a new reality series Special Forces: World's Toughest Test premiered on Fox. It is based on the British series SAS: Who Dares Wins with celebrity cast members undergoing military exercises used in the actual American Special Forces selection course. These test both physical and mental strength.

Bode Miller, an Olympic and World Championship gold medalist in alpine ski racing, is competing in season two. One of the exercises had members of the cast write and share a letter saying goodbye to their families should they die. Bode also addressed his late daughter in his death letter and cried while reading it aloud.

Bode shares five children with wife Morgan Miller, twin boys Asher and Aksel, 3, Easton, 4, Nash, 7, and Scarlett, 2. He also has two children from previous relationships, Nate, 9, and daughter Dace, 14. He addressed his living children in his letter. "You are the coolest, most exciting, most fun little humans that I could have had in my life. I love you, and I'm proud to be your dad," he gushed.

Bode and Morgan also faced the unthinkable in 2018. Their 19-month-old daughter Emeline accidentally drowned in their neighbor’s pool. Bode addressed Emmy as well. "I've missed you so much and I'm coming to see you. Love, Dad," he said while crying.

Bode addressed Emmy’s death in an earlier episode of the series. "It was brutal. She let herself out the back door and jumped right into our neighbor's pool," he said through tears. He later added that his grief never goes away. Kelly Rizzo, the widow of the late-comedian Bob Saget, understood this and the pair shared their grief experiences.
