Beata Bienias wanted so desperately to have a baby, but she was losing hope.

In 2017, Beata signed up for a weight-loss program and eventually shed enough pounds to begin IVF injections and the transfer of embryos.
Nine days after her embryo transfer, Beata learned she was pregnant with what she thought was just one baby, a little girl she would name Amelia. It was finally happening after all the years of struggle, sacrifices, and everything she had to endure! She was over-the-moon excited.
Two weeks later, she and her husband went to the doctor for their first prenatal scan.
During the appointment, the ultrasound tech took a closer look at the scan, turned to Beata's husband, and asked if he wanted to sit down; a bombshell was about to be dropped on the expecting couple — and it was a big one!
As it turned out, Beata was already pregnant when she first learned Amelia was conceived via IVF.
Already pregnant … with twins.
Yep! And now fertility experts are calling Beata's rare pregnancy "almost impossible."
