Trump Struggles To Stay Focused During G7 Summit Because He’s Distracted By ‘Handsome’ Man

President Donald Trump has been known to get distracted and seemingly go off on random tangents. He also regularly makes comments about the way people look and fixates on men he finds attractive. So, when he got distracted by a “handsome” reporter during the G7 summit in France, it didn’t exactly seem out of character, but still inappropriate nonetheless.

Trump was meeting with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan when he noticed how good-looking a reporter at the press conference was.

The reporter, Majed AlFarsi, was trying to ask Trump a question.

But Trump interjected to comment on his appearance. “What a nice-looking person,” Trump said of the journalist. He turned to the UAE president and asked, “Is he from your country?”

He continued, “He has such a nice way about him. My people are so mean.” By “his people,” Trump seemed to be referring to American journalists who cover the White House.

He added that AlFarsi looked so “handsome,” and that you “could put him in a movie right now.”

A clip of the interaction has been circulating on social media.

And people are once again commenting on how Trump seems so “infatuated” with attractive men. At this point, it seems to be a pattern. “Lately he has been all smiles with handsome manly men and making public comments on their looks,” someone on X wrote.

This kind of thing has happened so many times now that some people seem relatively unfazed. “He’s always scouting for handsome men in the crowd lol,” another person commented. The clip also garnered lots of “Happy Pride” comments, as many people made jokes about his sexuality.

But some people think Trump had other reasons for making these comments.

To some, the way Trump tends to fixate on how people look is more of a sign of how “superficial” he is—because he’s “always into looks” and “never substance or a person’s real value.”

Someone else theorized that Trump thinks this way because he’s “an entertainer” first and foremost. The comment about how the reporter could be in a movie was telling. “In Trump’s head, he’s always casting a TV show,” they speculated. “He’s the reality TV president. Everything for him is about the visuals.”

And several others imagined that this was Trump’s way of avoiding questions he doesn’t want to answer. “He says that to distract people and so he doesn’t have to answer questions,” one critic commented. “He is nothing but an embarrassment.”

At the same time, Trump has commented on men’s appearances in this way when no one was asking him to answer any questions. For example, in May, he spoke at the US Coast Guard Academy graduation ceremony and made comments about the “attractive” cadets and their muscles. He also referred to Vice President JD Vance as a “perfect specimen.”

It also differs a lot from how he usually speaks about journalists.

His interactions with American journalists have also gone viral, but often for very different reasons. During his second term, he has called reporters “stupid” and said “quiet, piggy.” On more than one occasion, he has complained about how CNN White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins supposedly never smiles and has “hatred in her eyes.”
