Ivanka Trump isn’t winning anyone over with her seemingly endless vacations. People on social media have already called her out multiple times for posting about her lavish vacations and other special occasions that reek of privilege. And the criticism has definitely not died down.
New photos show that Ivanka and her family recently traveled to Costa Rica shortly after their trip to Iceland.
Ivanka was photographed surfing in Costa Rica.
And people were not impressed. Not necessarily because of her surfing skills. Reacting to photos shared by TMZ, one critic on X wrote, “While you are struggling to buy groceries the first daughter, and her large Secret Service detail was in (Costa) Rica surfing. This is the Let Them Eat Cake administration. Totally clueless to your struggles.”
This is certainly not the first time that people have accused Ivanka of being out of touch and oblivious. It’s actually happened so much that it’s hard to believe she hasn’t noticed the backlash, which has made some people assume that she is aware and just doesn’t care.
As ordinary Americans struggle, Ivanka seems to be enjoying her life, and people aren’t exactly happy for her. “Folks can’t afford groceries,” someone else wrote. “At least the Trumps are doing well.”
And while the Trump family is not exactly immune from hate, people have noticed that they seem to be held to different standards, at least among people who support President Donald Trump. “Imagine if Hunter (Biden) was out surfing during these f—ed up economic times????” another person argued. “They would be crucifying him!”
It doesn’t help that Ivanka and her husband are currently involved in a controversial project.

While Ivanka has chosen to stay out of politics during her dad’s second term, she hasn’t shied away from controversy. She said she stepped back from her political role to focus on her family and private life, but she has also publicly spoken about the Albanian island she supposedly “found” while traveling.
She and her husband, Jared Kushner, have plans to open a luxury resort on the island. The project has led to protests and a ton of criticism. Now, every time Ivanka posts about her travels, people mock her and ask if she “discovered” that land too.
So, when TMZ shared photos of Ivanka surfing, people left comments like, “Next thing (you) know, she’ll discover a new island” and “she is going to steal their land now?”
Another commenter also wrote, “Catching waves while her husband burns the world down.”
Ivanka received similar comments when she shared her travel photos on Instagram.
On August 18, she shared photos of some moments from this summer on Instagram, and someone in the comments called her “Ivanka Columbus.”
“Ivanka Columbus is on the move guys,” they wrote. “I’m sure shes looking to discover new lands to claim as her own. Locals be on the lookout.”
Meanwhile, someone else said, “What did you discover this time?” and another commenter added, “They found that place exploring one day. They swam up to it. Now they’re buying it.”
Apparently, Ivanka is still struggling to read the room even as people repeatedly spell it out to her.
