Ryan Seacrest Is Slammed By ‘American Idol’ Fans For His Treatment Of Contestants

It appears that in the world of competitive singing TV shows, it may be a bit of a sensitive subject when it comes time to tell contestants what their fates are on the show.

This video from the New York Post shares how American Idol host Ryan Seacrest was slammed by fans after they perceived him as being harsh on a few of the show’s competitors.

According to Collider, Ryan Seacrest has been hosting the popular unscripted competitive singing show for 21 seasons and is happy to keep doing so, especially with the live show.

Aside from American Idol hosting duties, Ryan was also a staple on the morning show circuit when he played cohost on Live With Kelly and Ryan for six seasons. He wrapped up his time on the show in April 2023.

So what was it about Ryan’s behavior in particular that wasn’t sitting right with fans of American Idol? According to the Post, some viewers were not happy with Ryan’s delivery and the way in which he chose to comment on some of the competitors’ fates on the show.
