An Unlikely Hero Gave This Injured Sea Turtle A New Lease On Life. This Is So Great!

Hofesh, which is Hebrew for "Freedom", the sea turtle has a new lease on life today thanks to one clever design student who refused to give up on him. Two years ago, Hofesh was caught in a fishing net, an accident that caused him to lose both flippers on his left side. He was left lopsided and unable to swim in his natural habitat.

Thanks to Israeli design student Shlomi Gez, Hofesh, who is only in his 20's, now can live a longer, more seaworthy life. Hofesh's fins are inspired by the design of an F-22 Raptor fighter jet.
