Last year, Mod Sun and Avril Lavigne were getting engaged, and this year, Avril has called it off. According to Celebitchy, Avril's rep confirmed the breakup, yet Mod Sun was surprised.
According to Celebitchy, Mod Sun's rep told Page Six, "They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him."
Despite being blindsided by the news his engagement was over, Mod Sun has no plans of slowing down when it comes to work. His rep said, "The show will happen tonight and tomorrow and for the rest of the tour.”
Avril and Mod Sun have allegedly been having issues for months, causing them to break up and make up, which ultimately led to their engagement ending.
Mod Sun started his tour just four days ago, which may be when Avril called it quits on the engagement. As his rep said, he plans to continue the tour, despite the engagement ending.
Avril has been noticeably quiet on social media, with her last Instagram post being a wish for the new year nearly two months ago.
However, news of the broken engagement comes just days after Avril was spotted with rapper Tyga at Nobu restaurant in Malibu, California, over the weekend.
Avril and Mod Sun first started their relationship when they released “Flames,” a single appearing on Mod Sun's album Internet Killed the Rockstar, after Machine Gun Kelly introduced them.
