Ellen DeGeneres took to Instagram on December 13, 2023, to share some of her favorite memories of Stephen "tWitch" Boss, who was the DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. tWitch died by suicide on December 13, 2022, at age 40. "We would sing and dance to some song. And then we would make each other laugh somehow," she explained, thinking back to their time on the show together. "And then we would walk off arm in arm and walk to my dressing room, which was the first one we got to and I would say, 'I love you,' and he'd say, 'Love you much.' And then he would walk off to his. And every single day, that's how we ended the show, arm in arm."
Ellen also spoke about the time that they went to Las Vegas together and saw Silk Sonic. "We both were huge fans," she said. "That was really fun singing to each other and just being in Vegas together was really fun.”
Another positive memory that Ellen has is of when she went to the Miraval resort in Arizona with Andy Lassner and tWitch.
As she spoke about her memories, she showed footage of tWitch climbing a pole that he was "so scared" to climb. Describing it as "incredible," Ellen also added that it was "one of the most fun shoots that we have ever done.”
Ellen said she misses tWitch "every single day," but she also has "amazing memories of him."

In her video, Ellen also reminded people that sometimes it's not obvious that people are struggling.
“His memory lives on. I love him so much. I miss him so much," she said in the video. "And it’s a reminder every single day that you just don’t know what people are going through because he was a happy guy, I thought, and I was really close to him, and he never shared that with me."
