Lyndee Brown Pellettiere-Swapp was found unresponsive in her home by her son Steven. He immediately called 911 and she was taken to the hospital for emergency care. For several days, Lyndee suffered seizures and she eventually fell into a coma for 12 days.
With her family by her side every single day, they found themselves hoping and praying for a miracle. But after almost two weeks, Lyndee’s doctors recommended taking her off life support.
According to the Mirror, doctors deemed Lyndee as having “no response” and they thought it best to begin the process of saying goodbye and remove all of her tubes and take her off the machines that were helping her stay alive.
With her tearful loved ones by her bedside during this process, Lyndee did the unexpected and spoke to her husband as he leaned in close to be next to her for what he thought were going to be her final moments.
Lyndee told the news outlet that she was “finally able to get out [the words] 'I’m a fighter' and [her] husband stopped and looked at her.” At that point, her husband Steve was in shock and he paused to ask his wife if she knew who he was and she whispered to him, “Yes, my husband.”
