When the Czech soccer team FK Viagem Ústí nad Labem lost to another team, the coach, David Oulehla, was approached on the field by a female sports reporter. She spoke to him about the loss and what it means for the team, and it was all par for the course. Except for David, it wasn’t so simple.
In a clip from the interview that has now gone viral on social media, David can be seen avoiding looking at the reporter, Sabina Jaksova. Users flooded the comments with jokes about David avoiding the female correspondent due to her model good looks and they called him out for repeatedly avoiding not only eye contact, but looking at her completely.

In the video, as Sabina talks to David about the game his team played against SFC Opava, he answers her questions and participates, as any coach would. But you can’t deny the lack of eye contact during the entire exchange. The team posted a clip from the interview and left it up on TikTok. After less than a week on the team’s account, the video has more than 2 million views and tens of thousands of likes.
In the comments, people joked about David avoiding looking at the attractive reporter and averting his eyes from her body and even her face. Apparently, he might have thought if he looked directly into her eyes, she would turn him into stone. OK, that’s a stretch obviously, but if David thought he could not ogle the sports reporter, he apparently didn’t trust his eyes not to wander from her face.
People roasted the coach for the clear discomfort in the moment.
In the comments under the video posted to Instagram, people joked that David was “fighting for his life” in talking to Sabina. Someone also wrote, “He knows that wife is watching Interviews” and added a couple of crying laughing emojis.
“Bro was set up to fail and passed!!” Someone else commented on the video.
“Bro’s concentration is outmatched,” another user joked.
On TikTok, people shared a similar sentiment, apparently applauding Davide for not “giving in” to the urge to look at Sabina’s body while she asked him questions about the game.
One person wrote, “Total respect for how he controlled his eyes.”
Another added, “No one’s is speaking this language but everyone stays until the end of the video.”
A user also joked that David is a “survivor” after getting through the interview without looking at Sabina. And, someone else commented, “One of the toughest interviews he’s ever had!”
The reporter responded to the reactions to the interview.
After the video went viral across the world, Sabina responded to the response that the now viral video got, including plenty of comments about her and her appearance. On Instagram, the content creator and sports commentator was tagged in screenshots of articles about the interview with David and his strong will not to look at her for the majority of the interaction.
She also spoke to The Sun about the viral video.
“His wife watches our interviews closely, and I believe she was pleased this interview went viral,” she told the outlet. However, she added, she doesn’t think anything about her outfit choice was overtly inappropriate. “Here in the Czech Republic, it’s normal for a woman to put on nice clothes and heels when she goes out and wants to look good.”
She also agreed that David’s “willpower” is impressive. However, Sabina shared with the outlet that she was too focused on what he was saying to her in the moment that, unlike millions of other people, she did not notice that he was avoiding looking at her during the interview.
