Reese Witherspoon admits that her kids find some of her social media posts a bit embarrassing. However, she doesn’t see that as a problem. While on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 29, 2025, Jimmy Fallon called Reese “one of the coolest moms.” He also pointed out that the Legally Blonde star has the tendency to share embarrassing things on social media — both about herself and others.

“I don’t get embarrassed. My children, however …” she trailed off.
“But that’s their journey,” she added. Reese also went on to explain why she thinks embarrassing her kids sometimes might be a good thing. “I think you should embarrass them enough that they’re funny later in life,” she said.
Jimmy pointed out that Reese shared in a video in which she sang “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter. In the video, Reese clearly thought the lyrics said, “I’m working late ’cause I’m a sinner.” (The actual lyrics to the song are “I’m working late ’cause I’m a singer.”)

Two of Reese’s kids are not really kids anymore, though. She welcomed her oldest child, Ava, 25, when she was 23 years old. Reese is also mom to Deacon, 21, and Tennessee, 12. “They’re funny kids,” Reese told Jimmy.
Interestingly, Reese recently revealed that one of her kids didn’t realize that her career involves being funny. “I literally have my son tell me last night that he did not know I made a living being funny,” Reese told E! News. “He was like, ‘I just didn’t realize. You’re funny at home — sort of.'” Ouch.
Typically, her kids don’t watch the movies she’s in, she admitted.
“My children actively avoid my work,” she said. One of her sons, however, did watch Reese’s new film, You’re Cordially Invited. While he seemed to enjoy the movie, he told his mom that “kids his age won’t want to go see it because [Reese and the other actors are] old.”
Ouch!
