Jen Psaki Wants To Know If JD Vance’s Wife Is OK & Conservatives Are Fuming

Jen Psaki wants to know what’s going on with JD Vance’s wife, Usha Vance. During a recent appearance on the I’ve Had It podcast hosted by Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan, Psaki, who was the 34th White House press secretary, said JD Vance is “scarier” than Trump. And with the way the vice president “wants to be president more than anything else” and is “willing to do anything to get there,” Psaki has questions for his wife, like, “Are you OK?”

Conservatives found the comments extremely offensive, especially because Psaki offered to “save” Usha from her husband. “I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife,” Psaki said. “Like, are you OK? Please blink four times. Come over here — we’ll save you.”

After her remarks went viral, Fox News commentator Joe Concha accused Psaki of “resorting to fabricated personal attacks.” But in the same breath, he referred to her as “Peppermint Patty” and said she “is just making stuff up and has zero idea what she’s talking about.”

While President Donald Trump is known for giving people nicknames like “Sleepy Joe,” “Tampon Tim,” and “Governor Newscum,” Concha commented on how “we just have personal attacks and ad hominem stuff” right now, which is apparently “toxic.”

Similarly, right-wing radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt accused Psaki of relying on “insults,” which is sign that the “left is out of ideas,” reported The Independent.

On Thursday, October 23, a reporter asked JD Vance about Psaki’s comments. “Oh, I think it’s disgraceful, but of course the second lady can speak for herself,” he said. “I am very lucky to have a wonderful wife and I know — at least I hope — that my wife feels the same about me.”

One of the I’ve Had It podcast hosts, Jennifer Welch, also recently went viral over comments she made about the vice president’s wife. After JD Vance defended the racist messages sent by leaders of Young Republican groups, Welch accused him of not defending his wife and kids.

As she pointed out, Usha is “a woman of Indian descent,” and they share “mixed race children.” In Welch’s opinion, the way JD seemed to not care about the racist messages should show people that he doesn’t really care about them. “If this man will not defend his wife and will not defend his kids, do you think he gives a crap about you or anything to do with you?” she argued.
