Daphne Joy Says The Diddy Tape Was Filmed Without Her Consent — And Her Statement Is Heartbreaking

Sean “Diddy” Combs might have been convicted of some hefty federal charges, and sentenced to 50 months in prison, but he’s still making headlines from behind bars. That’s because the entertainer known as Daphne Joy, who shares a child with 50 Cent, spoke out about a tape that was released involving her. The tape was allegedly filmed during one of Combs’ now infamous Diddy parties and involves Joy with a male escort and Combs.

After the tape was leaked in May 2026, years after it was filmed, Joy put out a statement admonishing its release. 50 Cent also spoke out about it, especially in light of the fact that he and Joy share a child who is now in middle school. And, elsewhere, people have begun to speculate on who leaked the tape in the first place.

Daphne Joy’s tape was from one of Diddy’s “freak off” parties.

According to Complex, the video was leaked involving Joy, the adult entertainer, and Combs, but that Joy spoke out against the video itself. She claimed, per her own Instagram statement that was later shared to X, that she did not consent to being filmed. So when the video was leaked, it was another gut punch for the OnlyFans star, who was once part of Combs’ inner circle.

“Everybody plays the fool sometimes, and I have been the biggest fool,” she said in her statement. “I just wanted my man at the time to be happy and satisfied … I wanted to fulfill all his desires. Even if that meant breaking my own boundaries. I deeply loved him … and I believed he loved me too. It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship, but as time passes and in my quiet moments, I realize that it was far from love.”

She went on to say in her statement that the unnamed person who leaked the video actually tried to extort money from her. However, when she refused to pay, the tape was sold, per Joy’s account of what happened.

“I was blackmailed by the person in the video and was threatened that if I didn’t give him the lump sum of money that they would leak it on the web,” she wrote. “I almost gave in to this demand and once I didn’t, this person eventually sold this tape to a giant media outlet.”

She didn’t mention the individual by name who leaked the video, but instead just referred to them as “the person in the video,” That only sparked more questions and theories from the internet as a whole.

There is speculation on who released the tape.

With Combs in prison at the time of the tape’s release, some users on a Reddit thread speculated on who leaked the tape. Even though 50 Cent spoke out against Joy as the other of his son, some people suspect him of leaking the Diddy tape.

“50 leaked Rick Ross baby mama tape now proceeds to leak his baby mama tape,” one user commented. “We really need to start having honest conversations about Fitty…”

Another speculated, “If that turns out to be him wouldn’t that be considered revenge porn which is against the law?”

50 Cent spoke out about the tape too.

After the leaked tape went viral and Joy commented on it herself, 50 Cent posted about it on Instagram. He shared a screenshot of another social media post that teased social media reacting to the video from one of the “freak off” parties that Combs was eventually prosecuted for. In 50 Cent’s post, he expressed concern for his and Joy’s son, Sire, more than anyone else.

“She’s not a victim, SIRE is,” he wrote. “Can you imagine going to eighth grade to find out this is your mom? The court system in LA thinks it’s fine.”
