Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo are getting divorced. TMZ was the first to report the news on Monday that shocked the country music world. The singer reportedly filed for the split in May in a court in Tennessee.
While there is no indication that the move was connected, it came just weeks after he was hit with a disturbing accusation in Tennessee, too. Comedian Nicole Arbour, who has been going after the singer on social media for months, claimed that he threatened to kill her.
TMZ reported Arbour’s claim, but the Metro Nashville Police Department told the outlet that it was not investigating the matter.
“As you’re probably aware, there appears to be an ongoing back and forth between the two,” Nashville police told TMZ. “No charges have been filed and there is no current investigation underway on the part of MNPD.”
TMZ said that Arbour filed an incident report on March 1 and provided video. Police told TMZ they reviewed the video and identified Jelly Roll and another man in it.
According to TMZ, the report said that Jelly Roll said he saw Arbour at a charity event with a camera. She claims that is when he said “he would kill her” if he saw her with the camera. TMZ said the report said police said they heard the comment while reviewing the footage.
Arbour took to X to challenge police and point out some issues with TMZ’s report.
“Here’s why all of this is strange and giving police corruption,” she said in a video she posted.
Arbour then claimed that a detective investigating the case emailed her 46 minutes after TMZ’s story was released and said that the investigation had been paused because a witness could not be contacted.
She claimed that Jelly Roll pays TMZ to run stories and that the police in Nashville are corrupt.
“The first time I went to make a police report about Jelly Roll, which was Metro Nashville, the officer would not take it,” Arbour said. “I mean, they would not take it. They said they would not take it. They don’t want to get sued. They don’t want to get put on leave. They don’t want to be involved. They wouldn’t take my police report. That actually happened.
“They were shady AF in my opinion.”
Arbour claimed that she never had a camera during the interaction with Jelly Roll.
“People will be like, ‘Oh, if Jelly Roll was threatening your life, why didn’t you pull out your phone and film it?’” she said. “I did, and he was like, ‘If I see your phone I will kill you.’”
