Trump Seems To Wander Around On Camera Until Someone Helps Direct Him

Although Donald Trump traveled to Turkey for the NATO Leaders Summit, he couldn’t escape the cameras catching every little thing he did. But such is the life of a president of the United States and, more often than not, he seems to welcome the cameras and attention with open arms. So when those same cameras caught him seemingly wandering around on the blue carpet that greeted him at Air Force One upon his arrival, it was another viral moment for the president.

Viral in the worst way, of course, but viral nonetheless. In a clip from the incident that was posted on X (formerly Twitter), Trump walks down the carpet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. But instead of walking down the carpet to his waiting limousine, Trump seems to catch a bit of confusion in the moment and he has to be guided back on course by Erdoğan.

Trump wandering around is becoming a trend for him.

As Trump and Erdoğan walk down the light blue carpet on the tarmac, there is a group of soldiers on one side of them. Trump randomly stops and seems to stare at them before Erdoğan takes his arm to guide him back to where they were previously walking. The user who shared the video on X wrote, “Erdoğan clutches a wandering Trump’s arm to guide him around.” That’s a pretty accurate depiction of what’s happening.

Trump also appears to say something to the soldiers, but it’s hard to make out what he says exactly. You can’t mistake Erdoğan holding onto Trump’s arm, though, and it’s nothing if not a way to make sure Trump doesn’t make a total fool out of himself by wandering off where he doesn’t need to be upon his arrival in Turkey.

“Oh gosh, he is so pitiful and such an embarrassment,” someone commented on the X post. “It seems most people across the globe can see through him. The only ones that can’t are the MAGAs. I voted for him once and I apologize to America.”

Another joked, “Cripes, does Grandpa even know where he is?”

His on camera moments are hard to explain away.

At this point, every time Trump seems to doze off, make random comments that have nothing to do with, well, anything, or wander off while being filmed, it gets harder and harder to successfully explain the why of it all. Of course, there are MAGA supporters who will say that Joe Biden was far worse during his presidency, but that doesn’t quite explain what is going on with Trump, now does it?

Trump seemed to fall asleep on camera during the July 4th fireworks.

Before the NATO Summit, Trump was filmed at the July 4th fireworks where he seemed to, once again, fall asleep. I get it. 10 p.m. fireworks are a lot for small children and very, very old adults. But you’d think Trump would be able to stay awake to avoid the constant rumors of his health. Apparently, not.

When someone posted about the July 5th incident on X, users commented to seemingly joke about the excuses that MAGA might give for that situation. From Trump being “in the middle of a sneeze” to singing during the time the photo was taken, there is no shortage of ways that others seem to try (or at least jokingly try) to explain what is up with him.
